SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES To operate a variety of equipment used in the construction of all types of projects from commercial site work to municipal infrastructure.  The position may assist other craft workers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skidsteers, rollers, etc. Understand survey and layout markings, what they mean, and how to use them for grading operations and the construction of footings and foundations, underground utilities and services, storm drains, and other structures. Excavate and fill to dimensions and locations as specified on design drawings, sketches, and/or verbal instructions.
