PROCESS ENGINEER
This opportunity is quite interpretive, with very specific and calculated operations. Don't worry though, you'll be having fun based on the simple fact that this position has many gratifying moments. You'll want to carry your strengths over to design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments; perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems, and measure film properties and interpret data.
A local leader in the manufacturing industry is looking to hire a process engineer at either the entry or intermediate level.
Required:
A degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
Job Duties:
- Develop new or modified process formulations
- Define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications/reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture
- Fabricating and evaluating products
- Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods.
- Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
There may also be the opportunity to conceive and plan projects involving the definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8 am-5 pm
Wage:
- Process Engineer (Entry): $25-$30/hour
- Process Engineer (Intermediate): $30-$40/hour
