Job Description:

Montana Instruments, a growing high-tech Company in Bozeman Montana, is seeking a full-time Quality Coordinator. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of an ISO 9001 quality system at Montana Instruments. Responsible for the creation, execution, and improvement of company quality policies relating to the design, development, and production of new products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review quality system policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO, CGMP, industry standards, and other applicable regulations.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and support continual improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Participate as a team member on new product development projects as quality function representative
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation in response to quality issues as they arise, including in production, in the field, or with suppliers.
  • Perform incoming inspection on machined parts, circuit board assembly, and other electro-optical components.
  • Plan and conduct Internal audits of the QMS.
  • Be a fierce advocate for quality throughout the organization.
  • May supervisor other employees.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Applied understanding of ISO 9001
  • Demonstrated auditing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
  • Experience in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, and 5 whys
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning software (Epicor preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or other related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 years’ experience in developing and maintaining quality management systems.
