DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position provides administrative support to the work unit, in addition to performing duties associated with loan processing such as preparing and processing approved new loans and renewals. Prepares and processes loan documentation in preparation for loan disbursement. Position may process for commercial or commercial/consumer.
Prepare new and renewal loan documents and correspondence including letters, memoranda, and various forms and reports in rough draft and final draft form for the lending staff. Proofread for accuracy and correct errors. Prepare loan file with all appropriate documentation. Assist in the preparation of loan officer comments to the loan file. Assist officer in the preparation of information for the loan committee.
Order title policies and/or complete UCC search, appraisals, credit reports, receives and files same. Confirm standing on collateral. Prepare all collateral documents e.g., changes of collateral, transfers of equity, lien filings, and deeds of trust and updates files and records of customers internally and with the State and County as appropriate. Work with a loan officer on a weekly basis to maintain current information on booked loans spreadsheet.
Prepare information for disbursement when loans closed. Process loan information and debit/credit forms to be entered on books and on a computer system. Process paid notes, files and ensures collateral is not used for any other loan before getting collateral released. Prepare lien release(s) on collateral when the loan is paid off. File loan documents and loan files. Perform file maintenance to ensure quality control of documents and processes.
Completes correspondence upon request and within the prescribed time; provides assistance and backup for other areas in the department is provided whenever needed; handles customer requests and credit inquiries in a courteous and timely manner; processes mail when needed; answers phone and greets walk-in customers promptly and courteously.
May be required to provide Notary services.
A high school degree or GED is required.
Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
