The role of IT support within ATG is expansive, demanding a diverse set of skills to cover a broad range of responsibilities. Our number one priority is end user support to assure our workforce has the tools and technology needed to perform their occupational duties. This position requires constant self-study to be well versed in all areas of technology, a strong desire to learn will be invaluable.
End User Support : Diagnose hardware/software problems, and help to solve them. Documentation of requests may be needed along with strong prioritization and organizational skills to track requests. You will meet with ATG's IT manager on a weekly basis to prioritize short term and long term IT department's strategies, services, projects and budget goals.
Routine Maintenance : Leading the installation and configuration of new computers, telephones, and manage repairs, upgrades, etc. Troubleshooting skills will come into play for all standard office equipment such as printers, scanners and copiers. Record keeping of technology assets to maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies also applies.
Infrastructure Support : Office 365 for Business is the center of ATG’s infrastructure. Strong understanding of all of the features provided by Microsoft will be applied daily. Management of Exchange as well as SharePoint are likely to be the primary consumers of this support, provisioning new user accounts & permissions to following a strict documented termination processes.
Project Execution : Leading the planning and execution of various IT related projects relating to various internal initiatives will often be pitched to IT management and leadership intermittently.
Communications : Communications to end users, management, leadership, and service providers will always be executed through official professional channels. These official channels are listed in the employee handbook and may be modified by IT management under the discretion of leadership.
Total experience – 3 years working in Information Technology
Relevant experience – 2 years computer networking experience
Travel requirements – less than 10% annually
Office work location – Missoula, MT
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Hardware and software asset management
Networking techniques, terms and best practices
ability to configure routers, network printers and VoIP phones
Web hosting technologies and terms
Ability to execute on IT department strategies and projects
Experience with the following cloud based services is preferred:
Microsoft Office 365 management and support
Network knowledge related to Cisco products
Understanding of endpoint management
General ISP administration
Understanding of SaaS
Configuration and support for Window 10 in a local and remote environment
Configuration and support for Macintosh OSX latest versions
Understanding of endpoint security related to Microsoft Windows/Macintosh computers
Budgeting and cost management
Bachelor of Science or equivalent in computer technology related field
Certificates achieved through Cisco or CompTIA are preferred but not required
