This position requires working mostly unsupervised to install, maintain, test, and repair client low voltage cable plants. This position also helps develop proposals for client cable systems. Other duties may include assisting with voice communication and IT related projects and performing other cable related tasks as requested by management.
In this position, it is essential that candidates be able to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction while achieving 60-85% average billable productivity. They must have effective interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work effectively with clients one-on-one as well as having above average technical skills in cabling systems and manufacturing/industry cabling standards. An Associate’s degree and/or 3 years of experience in the field is preferred. This position is expected to achieve BICSI and manufacturer specific certifications.
Candidates must be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic while being dependable and reliable, and exhibit a calm, professional demeanor. Candidates must also have strong organization skills and be able to work under pressure and deadlines.
The physical environment in which one works may be inside and outdoors. Work involves pulling cable, bending, crawling and maneuvering in tight spaces on a regular basis. Work also frequently involves lifting and carrying 60 lbs. on a regular basis. Work is routinely performed offsite in various client locations (therefore a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required).
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
