Superior Traffic Services is a portable traffic control device company that combines state-of-the-art IT and communication systems with portable traffic control devices. These systems were developed by industry professionals, dedicated to creating technologically-advanced portable traffic control devices that make road construction safer, more reliable and remotely accessible. The adaptability and accessibility are unmatched in the industry. The standard features in the devices make 24/7 Real-Time configuration, programming, system-status monitoring and live viewing of traffic and work zones effortless.
Unlike many companies, STS emphasizes specific solutions for temporary-traffic-control needs. As such, we are looking for an estimator who will identify higher-margin jobs and create customized bids and quotes for temporary traffic control using STS’s one-of-a-kind equipment.
A well-suited candidate would likely come from a specialty construction background, or possibly manufacturing or materials supply. Estimating work will include identifying jobs, as well as reading, interpreting, and disseminating information found in plans, proposals, and specifications. This thorough understanding of both temporary traffic control needs and the functionality and versatility of STS’s asset fleet is the core element of successful estimating. The result will be ingenious solutions for temporary traffic control needs. Additionally, estimators must understand the basic principles, procedures and differences between government and private contracting, including specifications and submittals.
Customer care will also include project management in conjunction with the software team (electronic communication) and the operations team (field personnel and logistics). Some jobs will evolve, progress, or even have problems and the estimator plays a key part of keeping the job running at and beyond the customer’s specifications.
Superior Traffic Services needs a full-time estimator to identify jobs, create bids, close sales, and manage projects.
