Overview:

Working as a Field Service Technician means ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and deployment of Superior Traffic Services’ equipment to work zones across the United States. It includes knowing the products and understanding how they should be used most effectively. Field Service Technicians are the interface between our company and the people in the work zone itself, which includes being vigilant about safety, and at times providing instruction and coaching to customers and end users.

Our core focus is saving lives by providing more efficient traffic work zones. And the way we do that is with responsiveness, dependability, and providing a level of service that gives the customer has complete faith in our work and products.

Being a field technician also means making things happen, problem solving, and the satisfaction of getting the job done, knowing that traffic control is the cornerstone of keeping cars and trucks moving across millions of miles of America’s roads.

Job Description:

The position of Field Service Technician will be responsible for transporting, deploying, and troubleshooting Portable Traffic Control Devices. These duties will include:

· Transport of trailers and skid-mounted devices by towing

· Organized loading and unloading of equipment

· In-field installation/deployment under all conditions including, at times, inclement weather and in close proximity to traffic

· Meeting with customers, inspectors, and project managers in the field

· Reading and disseminating plans and specifications and translating to field deployment applications

· In-field repairs, troubleshooting, problem-solving and installation of devices and components

Skill Set:

· Must be capable of lifting material, supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds

· Must be capable of reading, interpreting, and following plans and specifications

· Forklift certified; ability to operate other machinery a plus

· CDL Class B drivers license

· Mechanically Inclined

· Effective problem-solving skills

· Knowledge and use of 12-volt electrical systems (Ohm meter usage a plus)

· Knowledge of Wireless and Satellite Communications Systems

Qualified candidates must:

· Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

· Be comfortable towing equipment long distances and backing up trailers

· Willing to travel and tow equipment outside the state of Montana

· Be capable of working 40+ hours per week, some nights and weekends

· Overnight Travel 2+ Weeks a month during Construction Season

· Have the office headquarters in Missoula, Montana as the base of operations

Compensation and Benefits:
