WGM Group is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join its growing transportation team in the vibrant Northern Rockies. WGM Group is a multi-disciplined civil engineering planning and design firm. This role will be responsible for coordinating innovative, community-oriented, and sustainable transportation projects. This position may be located in any of our three office locations either in Missoula, Kalispell, and Bozeman.
Role & Responsibilities:
As an integral player in the Transportation Department, this role requires project management and transportation planning and design skills. This person will be responsible for coordinating the full life cycle of a transportation project from concept through construction, including client proposals, contracts, budgets, and design. This position will play a key role in the design of transportation projects; utilize technical expertise by being hands-on during the design process; direct the team by providing technical direction and expertise; use project management skills for organizing, planning, and directing work activities and budgets; foster and build a client base through interpersonal relationships; contribute to business development opportunities including preparing proposals and leading client meetings; and construction management.
The Transportation Engineer will work with multi-discipline project teams to deliver transportation projects. This role will be responsible for staff allocation, budgets, and schedules.
The successful candidate will be experienced in creating of engineering products to meet customer quality requirements for a client project, uphold high standards of communication and customer service, and be familiar with working within the Montana Department of Transportation or other government agencies.
