Job Description

In this role you will join a small, global team focused on Senior Director to SVP level roles. This position will be aligned to all the business units with the mission to deliver against the executive recruiting needs supporting Applied’s strategic business imperatives.  This position will support Executive Recruiters and HR stakeholders to identify, plan and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment projects that drive quality-of-hire within project parameters such as cost-per-hire, time-to-fill, etc.   The Executive Recruiting function will explore, as a first choice in all cases,  direct channels such as networking, web research, professional associations/events, and employee/alliance partner/business leader referrals to recruit appropriate talent.  He/she will research and qualify high-quality executive talent not just for current open roles but for the long-term benefit of the company.   This position will develop pipelines of external prospects and approach, qualify, evaluate and down select in partnership with the Executive Recruiter.  He/she will gather all relevant data about the prospects experience (resume/CV), compensation requirements, and career aspirations, etc.


Key Responsibilities



  • Must be able to manage multiple “clients” and juggle competing priorities
  • Creative, wide reaching research skills particularly with focus on diversity slating
  • Proactively develop and execute candidate-generation strategies using all available recruiting tools
  • Proactively identify, build relationships with and recruit passive external candidates via cold calls; conferences; networking events; or other networks

Qualifying and Pre-Screening Candidates

  • Effectively represent and market the Applied employment brand, the organization’s business objectives and global career opportunities to potential candidates
  • Follow Applied’s consistent process and best practices for selecting the highest quality candidates; use refined probing techniques to elicit information
  • Must have a deeply ingrained sense of what quality resume/work history looks like and understand the many complex parts of the Applied business models
  • Readily identify and address objections; assess when to pursue or withdraw
  • Strong project management and presentation skills; strong communicator via both verbal and written formats

Experience & Skills

  • Ideally a minimum of five+ years in research/sourcing role
  • Experience with executive level recruitment research/sourcing
  • Previous in-house executive recruitment experience a plus
  • Ideally a knowledge of the various technology sectors
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and complex organization
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in parallel
  • Experience of sourcing from low cost/ direct channels
  • The gravitas and ability to communicate with senior executive levels
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and use it effectively
  • A mature, positive, deliberate and focused attitude
