This position can be located in Bend, Billings, or Sioux Falls.
SUMMARY
The Data Modeler is responsible for developing logical and physical data models. The Data Modeler will work with both business and technical teams to understand data requirements and design models to satisfy them. They are also responsible for documenting and maintaining existing data models.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Familiarity with SQL, DB2, ERwin, & Collibra Data Governance software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
