About The Role

The Office 365 Engineer is responsible for supporting the bank’s Microsoft instance with a strong security focus. This role requires extensive and proven experience in MSFT/O365 design, deployment, and administration. Including a strong background in setting up and supporting SharePoint.


This role will require working in a fast-paced environment that requires rapid context switching to resolve immediate business, partner and customer needs. This role will be expected to act both as a liaison with key stakeholders and as a subject matter expert.


This is a Corporate position which may be located in an available bank division across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. Click here to learn more about our bank divisions.


The entry-rate for this position is $36.80+ /hr (calculated for Missoula, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

 Duties and Responsibilities

·    Administers Office 365 Services: Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Flow and Teams. Ensures the operational health of the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint / Exchange environment, including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability. Ensures admin access controls, logging, standards, and policies are in line with MSFT Security Standards.


·    Designs and implements the Office 365 Suite of products. Works with end-users to maximize their productivity using the features and capabilities of Microsoft 365 as well as other products within the portfolio. Works on the design, implementation and testing of business continuity solutions (disaster recovery / high availability). Helps define processes and procedures to update and patch equipment and software. Develops and maintains scripts to automate repetitive tasks and support automated workflows.


·    Functions as Tier III escalation point for Office 365 production issues. Owns resolution of technical challenges for O365 projects.


·    Provides backup to other engineers and admins for their systems.


·    Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Level



5 years

Extensive experience designing and implementing the solutions on prem and in the cloud. Including:

·    SharePoint

·    Microsoft 365 Applications

·    Microsoft Exchange (Hybrid)

·    Email Hygiene Solutions (Proofpoint, MessageLabs)

·    Microsoft 365 Messaging

·    Email migrations (Microsoft Exchange)

·    Microsoft Active Directory

·    Microsoft Azure

·    Microsoft Mobile Device Management


Advanced / Specialized Knowledge

·    Strong working knowledge of entire O365 stack


5 years

Firsthand experience with technologies that include:

·    Microsoft 365 Security

·    Microsoft Teams

Additional Requirements


Occasional travel required: (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
