Job Description

About You: You enjoy unlocking the power of data by designing and building automated data exchanges, complex data processing transformations, and data storage solutions that power numerous internal and external facing data products.

What you will do for us: 

  • Design and build automated data exchange and processing pipelines that power enterprise and customer reporting
  • Work with Product Management, internal subject-matter experts, and system owners to map internal operational data structures into reporting centric formats
  • Design and implement health monitoring, security, privacy, compliance, and disaster recovery features into team's products.
  • Work with team Data Scientists to operationalize AI/ML models
  • Integrate with internal systems, data vendors, and customer systems to exchange data
  • Build, maintain and execute data pipelines for customer marketing campaigns
  • Participate in sales cycle activities with internal partners and directly with customers
  • Be an advocate for data-driven practices and decisions
  • Support internal business users in using available tools, data, and dashboards


Desired Skills: (5-10+) years experience preferred

  • Proficiency with:
    • Distributed parallel processing of large data sets
    • Dataframe-based tools/languages
    • Relational and non-relational data structures
    • Data storage approaches
    • Common data types and their appropriate usage
    • SQL concepts and usage
    • Consuming REST-based APIs
    • Data security considerations and practices
  • Experience with cloud computing systems
  • Self-starter able to quickly learn new concepts, tools and processes
  • Demonstrates capacity for divergent thinking
  • Above average curiosity
  • Deals effectively with ambiguity and situations where there is not a single “right” answer
  • Ability to concentrate on details of a problem while maintaining context of the larger objective
  • Ability to approach complex challenges with an analytical and creative mindset
  • Ability to build and maintain strong cross department relationships
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in the face of complex problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in communicating complex concepts


Knowledge of these technologies preferred: 

  • PySpark
  • Python
  • Data Lakes/Data Warehouses
  • Azure Cloud
  • Azure Synapse or Databricks
  • SQL
  • REST API (usage)


The rest of the stuff: Compensation 95K-115K+ DOE. Full-time position with complete benefit package including health, 401K, disability, vacation, paid parental leave, etc.
