Position Overview:

Learning & Development at ATG supports our internal teams on personal and team development opportunities throughout the employee journey. We enable leaders through engagement and communication strategies to drive awareness and build desire for employees’ participation in curated trainings and knowledge building, leading to new abilities for our employees to take on the complex challenges facing our client.

Our L&D team is central in creating learning strategies and plans, in partnership with our leaders, to drive a culture of continuous learning. This roles serves as a trusted learning & development leader to create innovative learning strategies, provides agile learning and teaming solutions that maximize internal stakeholder contributions, and supports workforce development efforts that are aligned with ATG’s objectives.

As the Director of L&D, you will prioritize leading our L&D team and supporting the immediate needs of the organization, while building world-class learning experiences that anticipates our future talent needs. At times, you will have the opportunity to support strategic client-facing projects, partnering across our Advisory organization, to influence and design stakeholder-centric plans to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new ways of working. As well as being an advocate for L&D within ATG and across Cognizant’s greater communities of practice, you will have the opportunity to develop partnerships and synergies with our client L&D organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate the comprehensive learning paths at ATG and leverage industry best-practices to drive a scalable and repeatable L&D model, rooted in content governance.
  • Provide strategic and consultative learning solutions to business leaders on learning needs for their teams to include team effectiveness, personal and team leadership, and technical skills to drive employee engagement and improve performance.
  • Spearhead the GTM (go to market) strategy for ATG’s IP and training collateral to monetize our world-class expertise in Q2C.
  • Collaborate and create recommendations on the design and appropriate delivery mechanisms to meet the learning objectives and in alignment with leadership support (e.g., classroom, on demand, virtual classroom, performance support, blended learning)
  • Become the go-to resource on adult learning theories, leading-edge instructional design methods, performance consulting, and communications.
  • Develop the vision, strategy, and implementation plan to drive learning beyond the classroom, employing emerging technologies and creative design ideas to make learning "sticky" and aligns to ATG’s needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments with stakeholders and industry professionals, determine gaps in curriculum/programs, and create / manage curriculum strategy for industry / sectors
  • Collaborate with and mobilize key HR and L&D teams across ATG and the greater Cognizant community to anticipate skills needed to continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our global workforce.  
  • Oversee the analysis of learner feedback and other data to promote continuous improvement of development solutions, consistently moving development to the next level
  • Create programs and paths to upskill leaders within L&D and the greater ATG community to deliver both established and customized training courses, workshops and teaming sessions, demonstrating facilitation and training skills that contribute to driving world-class learning.
  • Inspire, coach, and lead the L&D team, identifying growth opportunities and addressing development needs.
  • Contribute to market thought leadership and IP development through growing ATG methodology, practice innovation, and offerings.  

Key Experience:

  • 7-10 years experience in leading a learning, organizational development, human performance or leadership development organization
  • Experience assessing both business and learning needs, designing curriculum rooted in adult learning theories, developing solutions using leading-edge instructional design methods, deploying large scale initiatives and facilitating learning programs.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, changing environments, adapt style and build relationships and trust across teams, and influence others who are not in the direct line of authority.
  • Ability to anticipate obstacles, address challenges, offer solutions, identify resources, and influence others to move toward a common vision or goal
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze ambiguous information and present effectively
  • Strong facilitation and training delivery skills, and proven ability to train others in these competencies.
  • Adept at assessing internal client’s needs and synthesizing that into value-add solutions that are performance based and measurable
  • Influential verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience working on multiple Quote to Cash (Q2C) platforms (a plus)

Education:

  • Post-Graduate level degree in Organizational Development, Learning Design, Leadership Development or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work.

Location and Travel:

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
  • This position location will be dependent on the candidate however virtual will be considered.
