General Statement |
The Student Employment Program Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive on-campus student employment program at MSU in close partnership with MSU campus employers. By leading this effort, the program manager must bring vision and intentionality to ensure MSU students have access to a high quality, high impact experiential learning opportunities at MSU. By serving the needs of MSU campus employers, this position will be an important conduit for student workforce development while ensuring students advance their foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities through this experiential learning program.
Guided by an entrepreneurial service excellence approach, the Student Employment Program Manager will work directly with campus employer partners to receive and catalog job orders to identify the expected NACE competencies students can gain with each position. The Program Manager will also assist with scheduling and supporting training sessions for campus employers and students to help advance leadership and NACE competency development opportunities.
The Student Employment Relations Manager will synthesize their knowledge of best-in-class marketing tactics, social media, employee recruitment software, HireABobcat.com, Banner, and MSU’s ATS system to scale hiring to 1000 students per semester for on-campus employment. As part of the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success and a member of the Office of Career, Internship, & Student Employment Services team the Program Manager will also collaborate closely with the efforts of the Office of Financial Education, Office of Return to Learn, and the Office of Student Success.
