Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Department Description
Oracle CX Service is an industry leading Cloud-based Web, Social and Contact Center Solution. We serve eight million customers and two billion transactions per month. The Oracle CX Service development team is looking for a high energy, team-oriented individual to join this highly skilled and motivated team in driving the design and build of an exciting additional offering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Research and design projects
Write, test, debug, and maintain new and legacy code
Collaborate with other team members on assignments
Estimate tasks and meet milestones and deadlines appropriately
Report progress on tasks and projects
Understand and improve underlying architecture
Work with Tech Support teams to triage customer issues

Mandatory Skills:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
Seasoned software developer with 5+ years in software development
Experience of working in a multi-tenant distributed enterprise system catering to large scale data handling
Strong JAVA fundamentals and expertise in Object Oriented Design and Database Design
Hands-on experience in design, development and deployment of microservices and REST services
Thorough knowledge of Cloud Architecture and System Design
Experience of working in any large scale public cloud systems like OCI/AWS/GCP/Azure
Experience in building cloud native systems ground up

Desired Skills:

Experience in building complex web applications using modern tools such as Oracle JET / VBCS, JQuery, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript
Navigate legacy codebase, refactor by applying design patterns, best practices
Good UI design and UX skills
Exposure to Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment, DevOps setup
Previous work experience on Agile/Scrum teams working with geographically distributed teams
