Job Description

As an Implementation Specialist (IS), you are key team member in the Agile matrix team responsible for assisting with the successful implementation of Foundant software products to new clients.  Responsible for leading, training, and consulting with clients to achieve a successful delivery ensuring alignment with the client’s objectives, obtainment of ROI, and overall business value. Establishes and maintains a positive client experience throughout the implementation process through the active demonstration of Foundant’s vision, values, and brand. 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly support the successful end-to-end implementation of Foundant software solutions to new clients through effective teamwork, collaboration, and client engagement.
  • Assist new clients in the configuration of their Foundant software products ensuring the most efficient business process workflows are implemented and providing the greatest business value to the new client. 
  • Provide clients with guidance on industry practices in nonprofit accounting functions such as configuring chart of accounts and creation of funds.
  • Hands-on work to support the migration and reconciliation of client’s historical data from multiple sources into Foundant software. 
  • Train new clients on how to utilize Foundant software products.
  • Direct coordination with Foundant’s Learning and Development team in providing client input, lessons learned, and overall continuous improvement of education tools and the client’s education experience. 
  • As required, directly contribute to education and marketing activities by writing expertise blogs, conducting educational webinar presentations, and training sessions.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all levels of client interaction to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution.
  • Expert skills and aptitude in the ability to effectively communicate within the team, across client service teams, and across the organization. 
  • Following up on tasks and projects arising from client interactions. 
  • Gain and maintain expert knowledge of Foundant software products. 
  • Assist in developing and continuous improvement in training and support material to ensure ease of use by new clients of the Foundant software and an excellent client experience. 
  • Contributor to continuous process improvement between all areas of Client Delivery.
  • As required, conduct feature/function testing on monthly product releases. 
  • Continuous learning on Agile principles and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Minimum of two years of direct experience in client delivery in an IT services company and/or related industry.
  • Minimum of a two-year secondary degree in related field. 
  • BA in accounting or finance preferred.
  • General knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles highly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Nonprofit and/or community foundation fund accounting and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience in educating and guiding clients through the above business areas. 
  • Ability to identify and adjust training to different learning styles of clients. 
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn software programs and analyze data. 
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, especially Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel. 
  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management software tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Exceptional client satisfaction driven approach.
  • Keen attention to detail for accuracy to deliver on internal and external customer requirements with a time sensitive approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple, concurrent tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience with embracing change in a high-growth environment.
  • Prior philanthropic experience preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional client satisfaction approach.  
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 20%).
