Director of Sales

Gaize is building the first poly-drug real-time impairment testing platform. W'e’re starting with cannabis as it’s being legalized rapidly and there’s no test that can currently detect active impairment. This presents not only a large market opportunity, but a chance to solve an important societal challenge as well. A reliable solution to cannabis impairment testing is fundamental to full cannabis legalization, and vital to maintaining safe roads and safe workplaces. We’re 100% focused on leading the way in this area, and are looking for a Director of Sales that deeply cares about this problem to join us. If you’re an experienced sales leader who agrees that cannabis should be legal, and that impairment testing is fundamental to that effort, we’d be excited to hear from you.

Gaize is a funded, early-stage technology startup, so you should be familiar with startups, and high risk/high reward environments. Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent communications skills, strong familiarity with law enforcement sales and business to business sales, and should be ready to work hard to solve this problem. You’ll be well compensated, respected, and entrusted to make important decisions that impact the health of the company. The Director of Sales will own the process of acquiring new users for the Gaize product. You’ll be responsible for following modern, data-driven sales techniques to make contact with and close new accounts. Gaize has demonstrated the ability and willingness for customers to pay for our product, and now it’s time to scale up. Your work will leverage CRM software of your choosing to rapidly move prospects through the sales cycle and expand existing accounts. You must be experienced in building a high-perfomance sales process and delivering outstanding results.

Compensation

  • Generous base salary plus commission and stock options

Location

  • We’d prefer to have you join us in beautiful Missoula, Montana. Remote work may be an option for exceptional candidates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales cycle for both law enforcement and business prospects.

  • Work with inside and outside sales staff to effectively build awareness, and close new accounts

  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings on behalf of Gaize

  • Recruit and retain a high-performance sales team (both inside and outside reps)

  • Capture and report product improvement suggestions to the CTO

  • Ensure that new customers are onboarded successfully

  • Ensure that existing customers are happy and work to grow their accounts

  • In conjunction with the CEO and other leaders, lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing sales initiatives and delivering on those goals

  • Participate in investor presentations, board meetings, and serve as a constant advocate for Gaize, both internally and externally

 Requirements

  • Proven track record of architecting and implementing high-impact sales processes

  • Experience selling to both law enforcement and business customers

  • Experience in a technology startup strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to recruit, grow, and retain a highly performing sales team

  • Comfortable managing and building remote / partially remote teams and working with contracted sales reps
