Design at Cushing Terrell: 

Cushing Terrell is seeking a collaborative and accomplished Electrical BIM / CADD Technician in our Billings, Montana office, with at least 6 months of experience or more to join a diverse team in a warm, welcoming, creativity-driven environment that values simplicity and environmentally responsible practices in our design thinking. 

As an Electrical BIM / CADD Technician you will be an integral part of the team. You will generate ideas into reality by coordinating with the teams to produce drawings and other construction documents. You will use Revit building information software to create three dimensional drawings as directed by a senior engineer or designer.   You will assist in design and quality control to produce the best possible outcomes for our clients.  

Required Qualifications:

• Education: a High School degree or higher education in computer technology, drafting and design, integrated arts, animation and modeling, or other related programs.  
• Experience: 6 months - 2 years of job-related experience or more.
• Licenses or Certifications: N/a 
• Software: Proficient in Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CADD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook 
• Core Knowledge: Competent mathematical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions:

• Proficient in modeling electrical systems using MEP Revit BIM software with guidance from engineers or electrical designers.
• Ability to model systems in 3 dimensions using BIM software to coordinate and create conflict free piping and duct designs.
• Drawing input and set up utilizing office standards and basic design criteria provided by an engineer and under their supervisor, prepares and changes drawings.
• Assists in production of construction documents utilizing Revit building information software.
• Collaborates with peers and assists in training and direction of less experienced drafters. 
• Coordinates production of documents with other departments.
• Produces CADD based documents or changes to documents and development of details based on "Red Lines" from supervisors or other senior team members.
• Prepares construction documents as directed by, engineer, designer, technician, or project manager, i.e., plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules.
