Job Description

he Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and documentation of our cloud infrastructure as well as our on-premise, self-hosted solutions. Will be an integral part of the software development team to ensure that solutions can be smoothly deployed and maintained with minimal manual effort.

  • Monitor system alerts, uptime, and resource consumption

  • Collaborate with application development teams to identify opportunities for reliability improvements

  • Deploy regular patching and environment enhancements

  • Create dashboards and visualizations to help identify potential issues

  • Develop tools and automation to aid in environment deployment and maintenance

  • Document new and existing tools to ensure that all members of the technology staff can successfully utilize them

  • Create proposals for enhancing new and legacy systems with a focus on resource consumption and reliability


  • Deep understanding of application & web architecture

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services hosting platforms

  • Experience working with Terraform, BitBucket, ArgoCD, GitOps, Teamcity and other related CICD tools

  • Experience supporting event-driven microservices that leverage Kafka or similar event sourcing technology

  • Experience building elastic systems capable of scaling horizontally

  • Proven history working with both relational and non-relational persistence, specifically Microsoft SQL and Mongo

  • Significant experience working with containers (docker, containerd) and container orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, AKS)

  • Experience with scripting languages like Powershell or Bash

  • Familiarity with .NET/C#

  • Problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative development environment, supporting a growing company

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively

  • Ability to break a problem/solution down and deliver continual incremental functionality that provides business value at each step

  • Ability to balance near-term practicality, driven by resource constraints and timelines, with ideal technology states

  • Familiarity in agile engineering best practices including sprinting and refinement processes, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, test automation, continuous integration, and operations

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people

  • Preferred Experience supporting orchestration engines that leverage process automation languages like BPMN
