About The Role

The Solutions Engineer is accountable for designing technical solutions that meet business requirements. Partners with key roles (e.g. project managers, business analysts, solution architects, technology SMEs, technology managers, etc.) to create solutions which are aligned with architecture principles, and leverage common solutions and services. The Solutions Engineer must have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s technical architecture and be responsible for implementing solutions that are in line with the strategic vision.

 

The Solutions Engineer must have a well-rounded background that encompasses the entire technology stack (software, hardware, network, hypervisor, OS, & cloud) which can be called upon to solve challenging problems. The Solutions Engineer must be motivated by taking on new challenges and problem solving. The Solutions Engineer will require a flexibility to take on different types of engineering projects as no two will be the same.

 

This is a Corporate position which may be located in an available bank division across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. Click here to learn more about our bank divisions.

 

The entry-rate for this position is $43.00 + /hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·    Participates in the delivery of technical solutions for IT projects from requirements gathering, research, review, and design to ensure a successful implementation that meets requirements. Collaborates with IT groups to identify technical requirements and engineers solutions to meet those requirements. Partners with the Solutions Architect role to complete detail designs of proposed solutions and creates the necessary review documentation. Conducts research on products, services, and technologies to aid solution design. Proposes solution recommendations and alternatives to meet the needs of the organization. Designs technical solutions that are in compliance with the organization’s Enterprise Architecture. Develops testing plans for proposed solutions to ensure the solution works in the IT environment.

·    Performs the installation, configuration, integration, and deployment of new technologies across the IT environment. Performs installations/builds based on high level architecture designs created by the Solutions Architect role. Leads and works through affected IT groups during implementation to ensure implemented solution meet desired outcomes and meet operational support requirements. Troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves implementation issues and problems during implementation. Works closely with all areas of IT to ensure implemented systems, software, and hardware are running/performing properly before being handed off to operational support teams. Creates technical documentation of system configuration, support, and known issues. Conducts training and knowledge sharing sessions with system administrators and Service Desk technicians to communicate system configuration and support knowledge.

·    Develops and maintains a full understanding of the organization’s architecture and systems, including configurations, dependencies, and relationships. Stays abreast of emerging technologies.
