Architectural design at Cushing Terrell: 

Cushing Terrell is seeking collaborative and daring, Architectural Interns who have completed at least their third year of undergraduate classes. You will join a diverse team in a warm, welcoming, creativity-driven environment that values sustainability and environmentally responsible practices in our design thinking. 

As an intern at Cushing Terrell, you will have a unique opportunity to work on projects throughout the United States in a range of markets, including retail, commercial, and education, among others. You won’t be doing coffee runs and focused on window and door details, but rather, Cushing Terrell believes you should receive the most well rounded experience you can while you are here. You will be involved in the process from the early design phase, production work, and helping develop complex design solutions. You will be a key part of our teams and our projects, developing quality and unified design. You will be called upon to support architectural design work in partnership with talented designers, engineers, and business professionals across our 14 offices.  

Our creative process engages our high profile clients and our project teams in achieving highly integrated and successful design solutions.  

We expect you can bring: 

• Excellent design skills 
• Strong technical ability 
• Highly developed skills in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite 
• A devotion for sustainable design  

You’ll love this role if you: 

• Have at least 3 to 4 years’ of completed course work in an Architectural undergraduate program 
• If you are a whiz at Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup  
• Can solve complex technical problems 
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Contribute to team meetings 
• Like learning about every phase of the project 
• Are a creative thinker
