Are you looking to gain valuable industry experience? WGM Group has opportunities for Civil Engineer Interns for summer 2023 based out of Missoula and Kalispell. WGM Group is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering firm including, planning & design, survey, environmental and natural resource management. As an intern, you will be sure to get exposure to a variety of project types and discipline s to help grow and expand your knowledge.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintain project files and databases.
- Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer.
- Prepare cost estimate quantities.
- Conduct traffic counts.
- Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil 3D.
- Provide survey support as a field crew member completing grade stake computations and marking.
- Support development of report writing, calculation packages, and specifications.
- Depending on experience, may assist with designing plans for a wide range of projects including public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
Qualifications:
As a valued member of our engineering team, you will have at a minimum:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
- Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
