Software Project Manager Missoula Montana
A well established National company is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to assist with a 14-18 month long project (which could turn permanent). This will entail migrating their current claims engine to their new platform. This company is all about serving their community to provide the best health benefits around.
Wage:
- $52.88 to $57.69 depending on experience.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (flexible on start and end times)
- This position requires candidates to be local to Missoula MT
Responsibilities:
- Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall project management structures.
- Prior experience with SQL Server, VB.net, and C#.net, or any other generally used programming language.
- Meet with end users to discuss the required information to be extracted from the database or mainframe source files.
- Ensures solutions meet business objectives and establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidence in IT’s knowledge of and concern for users’ business needs.
- Makes decisions that are critical in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions.
- Provide excellent leadership skills to guide and direct wide range of stakeholders and resources to deliver high quality solutions that are on time and within budget
- Performs related or other assigned duties as required or directed.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check
- Working knowledge of programming theory and various programming software and languages. (i.e. MySQL, C#, Transact-SQL, python, .Net)
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, and Outlook.
- Mathematical skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to comply with privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of SQL server database administration.
- Experience planning, designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining C#/VB.net, Windows and web applications in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with VBA claims processing engine, or other claims processing engines
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, kneel, stand, walk and bend
- Frequent arm/wrist/hand movements (grasping, typing, reaching, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
OUR STORY
In 1985, LC Staffing was launched to support the specific hiring needs of several timber companies in northwest Montana. Known then as Flathead Valley Labor Contractors Inc., LC provided temporary help to the timber industry.
In November of 1989, Ralph Brown purchased the company and the focus was expanded to include temporary and temp-to-hire placements in all industries, including construction, skilled and non-skilled labor, office support, technical, professional and sales.
A Missoula office was opened in 1990, followed by Bozeman in 1995. In 1997, the Labor Contractors name was abbreviated to LC Staffing Service to better reflect the scope of services provided. In January of 2000, Kristen Heck became an equity partner in the business and the scope of business added recruiting and professional search services.
In 2017, Kristen became the sole owner and promptly gave the 33-year-old business some new branding and her vision of values, service, and excellence, which included a contemporary logo and color scheme, along with the company’s new slogan of Moving People Forward.
In August of 2018, LC Staffing officially became a Certified Woman Owned Small Business, (WOSB), solidifying them as a partner for corporations or for government contractors who seek supplier diversity. Recognizing the tightening labor market and increasing cost of housing, Kristen also changed the way LC Staffing fulfilled their temporary staffing assignments. Minimum work assignments went from 4 hours to 40 hours, ensuring that job seekers who accept a short-term assignment would get at least 40 hours of work.
In March of 2019, LC Staffing opened their fourth office in Columbia Falls to better serve the Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Glacier corridor communities. The new office, appropriately dubbed the Glacier Office, provides convenience and in-person quality service that our employees, client companies and job seekers local to the area expect.
Today, LC Staffing has grown to a recognized, Best of Staffing award winning agency with four locations throughout Montana. Though much of Montana has changed since our beginning, our service approach with a local focus has not.
