The Finance & Accounting Manager is a key leader at commonFont who is responsible for the management, completion, and ongoing improvement of a wide breadth of financial business processes, in partnership and collaboration with stakeholders across the business.   • Responsible for the financial accounting and reporting for the organization, insuring proper documentation, accurate, timely bookkeeping, and preparation of company financials that enable commonFont to make sound business decisions and achieve financial success 
  • Responsible for payroll administration to ensure successful, regular payment of commonFont teammates 
  • Responsible for the control and management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for the company, promoting ease, efficiencies, problem resolution, and strong receivables and controlled payables
  • Contribute to retirement plan management, including the accurate administration of commonFont’s 401(k) employee match benefit
  • Oversee tax compliance in partnership with our external accounting firm, and apply understanding to optimize business decisions 
  • Lead cash flow management to outcomes that are efficient, optimize returns, and leave appropriate operating cash
  • Financial Forecasting & Planning enables the creation and management of thoughtful plans, budgets, and financial forecasts to drive decisions for managing the business
  • Strong leadership upholds excellence in our Finance & Accounting function and helps other commonFont leaders to understand and apply financial knowledge to inform sound business decisions

  • Academic degree or commensurate professional experience and training in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • 7-10+ years professional experience, including experience holding Accounting responsibilities that are relevant to the Finance & Accounting Manager role; prior responsibility for the preparation, quality, and content of financial data
  • Highest standards - with demonstrated experience - for trust, integrity, and handling of sensitive and business critical information
  • Demonstrated experience in Finance Management, including modeling and analytics
  • Strong perspectives, developed through experience, on managing with strong financial controls 
  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting software, primarily Quickbooks; experience working with and quickly learning new systems
  • Experience wearing several hats with agility, flexibility, and focus on achieving results; aspirations to grow your career and responsibilities as commonFont grows 
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to explain financial transactions in ways that are understood and help managers apply learnings
  • Strong spirit of service; you demonstrate the desire to go the extra mile to support team success
