The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between our clients and development teams, and are responsible for driving the identification, specification, and successful delivery of software solutions. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset that can take basic information to determine what needs to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. 

Essential Job functions  

  • Facilitate meetings of stakeholders to elicit requirements and detail business constraints  
  • Document and analyze requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications  
  • Analyze system requests and partner with clients to ensure accuracy 
  • Distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs  
  • Translate requirements into user stories and tasks that can be worked by the development team. 
  • Facilitate grooming meetings with the development teams 
  • Continuously work to understand WaterStreet software and new features as they are released.  
  • Continuously work to understand the insurance industry 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers 
  • Engage in multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent documentation skills 
  • Meeting Facilitation 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills (Internal & External)  
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, & Power BI)  
  • Basic understanding of SQL 
  • Basic understanding of web applications  
  • Project tracking software (i.e. Jira)  
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. 
  • Insurance knowledge is a plus
