About the Role
Prepare loan documents in the loan process by verifying information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete the files, updating information on the computer system, and paying property taxes on escrows in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures and compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare loan processing documents and correspondence including letters, memoranda, and various forms and reports in rough draft and final draft form for the lending staff. Proofread for accuracy and
correct errors. Process loan documents; enter loan information in the computer accurately and on a timely basis. Issue preliminary disclosures and other information within the required timeframe.
Order and/or assist in gathering initial documentation necessary to make loan decisions (e.g., credit reports, verifications, appraisal, flood determination, insurance, and title policies/reports). Conduct
follow-up to ensure information is received in a timely manner. Review documents/files for completion and accuracy prior to submission to Loan Officer for review and approval. Process and complete
insurance requests, various government loan insurance, and guarantees. Check verifications of employment, assets, and credit with the information in the bank computer system to ensure the application
is complete and accurate. Confirm standing on collateral. Prepare all collateral documents e.g., changes of collateral, transfers of equity, lien filings, and deeds of trust and updates files and records of
customers internally and with the State and County as appropriate. Process loan and appraisal requests accurately and timely, utilizing related regulations for the associated loan program.
Prepare loan file with all appropriate documentation. Assist in the preparation of loan officer comments to the loan file. Track all required information needed to complete loan files; monitor and resolve
problems to ensure all documentation is received and verified prior to packaging/closing. Maintain a tickler system to ensure that all steps in the loan application and monitoring process are completed in a

Must be able to routinely perform work on the computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
