The Data Center Systems Administrator is a key member of a collaborative team with diverse responsibilities including designing and managing virtual server infrastructure, technology platforms, and cloud solutions.

About this job:

  • Architect, build, and support virtual infrastructure in multiple data centers and field locations. Duties include:
    • Physical server builds and configuration
    • Hypervisor implementation and support
    • Template and virtual server builds
    • Storage administration
    • Virtual switch and network interface configuration
    • System hardening and secure system builds
  • Implement and support hybrid cloud architecture
  • Participate in developing cloud adoption and digital transformation
  • Collaborate with technology teammates on complex system designs
  • Collaborate with security team on secure system builds
  • Administration of backup/recovery solution
  • Disaster recovery planning, design, and testing
  • Support and optimize data center facilities
  • Support virtual desktop and application delivery solutions.
  • Solve complex technical problems that include multiple layers of OSI model.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and work extended hours as necessary
  • Some travel will be required

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college with some related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of virtual server infrastructure including servers, storage arrays, and networks
  • Working knowledge of supporting systems and processes including backup/recovery, OS patching, and monitoring
  • Working knowledge of system hardening and security techniques
  • Understanding of network and security architecture
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities
  • Must be able to continually learn and acquire new technical skills and knowledge

  • Experience supporting multiple server operating systems
  • Experience supporting backup and recovery systems
  • Experience supporting virtual desktop and application delivery
