Configuration Engineer 

The Configuration Engineer is a key member of a configuration team and responsible for analyzing, implementing, testing, and maintaining customer configurations. This role leverages tools like Postman to manage API collections and Azure DevOps to manage work in process. The engineer is expected to have a positive attitude, strong sense of ownership, be quality driven and an unmatched ability to collaborate with peers.    

Essential Job functions

  • Participates in product configuration meetings and analyzes business requirements to deliver an implementation plan. 
  • Follows the software configuration lifecycle process. 
  • Collaborates with team members in design reviews, code reviews and demos. 
  • Support releases as needed. 
  • Contribute to configuration documentation. 
  • Troubleshoot and propose/communicate solutions. 
  • Research and remain informed of new technology and practices. 
  • Seek opportunities for innovation and improvement. 

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of agile software development fundamentals.
  • Ability to provide solutions to problems independently. 
  • Knowledge and experience with JSON files, JSON paths, and other data structures. 
  • Knowledge and experience with API tools such as Postman. 
  • Knowledge and experience with web services (SOAP/REST). 
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and the Microsoft Azure Stack is a plus. 
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps experience is a plus. 
  • Angular, HTML5 and CSS3 experience is a plus. 
  • C# and SQL Server experience is a plus 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus.
