Job Description

This position is for our sister company, Montana Alarm Control Company (MACCO).

Montana Alarm Control Company (MACCO) was founded in 2024 as a spin-off of Communication Resources . As the name implies, we focus on alarm and access control systems. These include fire alarm, security alarm, security cameras, door access control, gate access control, and internal intercom systems.

​We are a Montana company, and our values reflect that. Our main office is in Missoula, Montana and we have a satellite location in Butte, Montana. We cover a number of cities in Montana including Missoula, Bozeman, Helena, and Butte along with many more.

​We provide annual service on existing systems, 24-hour monitoring, as well as new installations. We have state-certified and manufacturer-trained technicians on staff to work on the complex systems that keep commercial buildings safe and secure.

Duties:

- Installation alarm (fire, access control, security) systems for residential and commercial properties
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper functioning
- Detect and troubleshoot issues with alarm systems
- Read and interpret blueprints for system installation
- Perform security system and CCTV installations
- Utilize hand tools for system assembly and maintenance
- Assist with alarm system sales and customer inquiries
- Provide technical support for computer hardware related to alarm systems

Skills:

- Proficiency in system design, build, and certification
- Ability to detect and resolve issues in alarm systems
- Experience in blueprint reading for system installations
- Knowledge of security systems and CCTV technology
- Familiarity with hand tools used in system installation and maintenance
- Understanding of alarm system sales processes
- Competence in computer hardware related to alarm systems

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 4x10
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Travel requirement:

  • Up to 50% travel

Experience:

  • Alarm installations: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • NICET (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
