In order to further expand our competitiveness and enhance our production capabilities, we are looking for an experienced strategic Industrial Production Manager to team at our team in Lewistown, Montana.
Production Management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive production strategy that drives effectiveness and optimizes operational processes, while considering a wide range of factors influencing decision-making.
Ensure the efficient allocation of resources, including staff, equipment, and materials, to maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout the production process.
Identify opportunities for technological advancements and procedural improvements, making informed recommendations to enhance overall organizational success.
Oversee production operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring that targets and deliverables are consistently met.
Financial and Budget Oversight:
Collect, analyze, and synthesize financial data to prepare detailed budget analyses and reports for the production department, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Monitor financial trends, adjust budget allocations as needed, and actively seek opportunities to enhance revenue and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with management to develop and manage the overall budget for the organization, providing insights into cost control and resource allocation.
Management, Supervision, and Employee Relations:
Lead and manage employee performance by setting clear expectations and job responsibilities, while fostering a culture of safety, engagement, and productivity.
Address employee development, training, and disciplinary matters in accordance with sound principles and legal requirements, promoting a positive work environment.
Ensure effective communication with the workforce, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining a high level of morale and motivation.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Champion continuous improvement efforts across all production and operational processes, collaborating with technical experts to refine and enhance manufacturing procedures.
Document and maintain all relevant internal procedures, ensuring that controlled documents, processes, and work instructions are consistently updated and adhered to.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide comprehensive reports to the General Manager and other stakeholders on departmental performance, highlighting areas for improvement and strategic opportunities.
Ensure transparent communication across all levels of the organization, effectively addressing and resolving any operational issues as they arise.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires international travel to our headquarters in Germany for up to three months of initial training. Following training, you can expect occasional travel of up to one week and a half at a time, totaling approximately one month within a 12-month period. Flexibility and readiness to travel are essential for collaboration and alignment with our global operations.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a fast-paced office environment.
While regular travel is not expected, occasional travel may be required for business events and meetings.
The role involves sitting for extended periods, standing, and requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, detailed verbal communication, and proficiency with computer keyboards.
You will work in a manufacturing environment with equipment, robotics, and chemicals. Adherence to required attire/uniforms/clean suits is necessary.
Be prepared to encounter wet surfaces, noise, and moving machines, which require attention to detail and cleanliness.
have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Production, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial and/or production management, budget management, operational optimization, employee relations, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
or a Master’s degree in Industrial and/or Production Management or other related field of study is preferred.
