Job Description

Are you looking to gain valuable industry experience? WGM Group has opportunities for Civil Engineering Interns for summer 2025. WGM Group is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering firm including, planning & design, survey, environmental and natural resource management. As an intern, you will be sure to get exposure to a variety of project types and disciplines to help you grow and expand your knowledge. We are seeking summer interns for our Bozeman and Kalispell offices. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D.
  • Provide survey support as a field crew member completing grade stake computations and marking.
  • Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimate quantities. 
  • Conduct traffic counts.
  • Maintain project files and databases.
  • Support development of report writing, calculation packages, and specifications.
  • Depending on experience, may assist with designing plans for a wide range of projects including public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.

Qualifications:

As a valued member of our engineering team, you will have at a minimum:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D a plus.

Compensation & Benefits Package:
