What you’ll do
The Training and Education Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of training programs that enhance employees' skills, knowledge, and performance. This role will assess organizational needs, manage and administer our Learning Management System, develop targeted learning programs, and ensure that all employees are equipped with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in their roles. The role will aid product enablement efforts in translating go-to-market messaging into customized training materials for various departments in the organization.
This role is also responsible for the YourPath objectives of nurturing the employee pipeline of top talent for our Media Services department through continued interaction with the University of Montana, the Digital Media Execution class, and the YourPath Internship. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, exceptional communication and public speaking skills, and a strong understanding of running digital ad campaigns and the associated technologies. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable about learning principles and employee development strategies. This role reports to the Director of Product Enablement.
Responsibilities
- Training Needs Assessment:
- Conduct assessments to identify training and development needs across various departments and job levels. Work closely with leadership teams to understand specific goals and challenges.
- Program Design and Delivery:
- Design, implement, and deliver training programs, workshops, and e-learning courses that align with organizational goals. Programs will cover technical operations, communication, and client management.
- Learning Management Administration:
- Administer and maintain a Learning Management System (LMS), along with associated training material and content. Administer system in accordance with training and development strategies and standards.
- Support Product Enablement Efforts:
- Work closely with the Product Enablement and Marketing teams to understand training needs based on go-to-market messaging and product initiatives. Work with department heads to understand the impact of the training programs and gather feedback for ongoing initiatives and improvements upon courses.
- YourPath:
- Maintain and build upon the YourPath program, which consists of the University of Montana classes, internship, and internal training. Act as liaison between Digital Media Execution course students, UM faculty, and Pathlabs. Maintain and update class curriculum, organize and schedule lecturers. Help facilitate career conversations and evaluate internship applicants’ strengths.
- YourPath: Internship:
- Work closely with HR and Media Services to manage and maintain the high level of quality and intentionality of the program, which is integral to Pathlab’s employee pipeline. Provide interns with notable experience with which they can grow their careers.
- Evaluation and Feedback:
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuously improve training offerings based on feedback and organizational needs.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage the training and education budget effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting the organization's learning goals.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Human Resources, department heads, and external training providers to ensure alignment with company goals and delivery of high-quality training experiences.
What you will bring
- A minimum of 3 years in the digital advertising industry, with a strong knowledge of the advertising technology landscape.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing training programs for a diverse workforce.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A results-oriented mindset with the ability to measure and track the effectiveness of learning programs.
- This position is hybrid with in-office and flexible options, but is required to be in Missoula for UM classes and internship management.
