Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity for a developer willing to accept a significant challenge. 

Looking for an individual who is ready to dive in and contribute on day 1. The role consists of deploying microservices (Java) via Docker containers in a Kubernetes environment. These services will help to define a major architectural component of the next generation Oracle Service Cloud offering.

The services need to utilize appropriate caching mechanisms and need to scale to meet the demands of the top branded consumer business names in the world. Experience in deploying services to cloud environments is a definite plus. Architect level understanding of building out a scalable API level infrastructure is a must. Building a continuous delivery pipeline will also be paramount within this project. The code needs to be able to quickly make it to production once it passes all the stages of verification. Ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability via the pipeline is a base project requirement. This project also constitutes working with a variety of teams to ensure others can consume/integrate the framework being built upon.

Essential Background:

  • 8+ Years of professional software development experience
  • BS in a technical engineering discipline
  • Strong communication skills
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
 Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications. Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
