JOB SUMMARY: Under the oversight of the Plant Supervisor (Operations Manager-Sheridan), the Data Services Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, cabling, customer premise equipment (CPE), field equipment and terminals.  Responsibilities extend to troubleshooting, isolating, and performing the necessary repairs on defective equipment in the network.  Perform installation and assist with maintenance functions, Information Technology (IT) services, battery testing carrier systems and assisting with non-regulated equipment.
