Zoot Enterprises is seeking a dedicated and user-focused Product Manager to guide the development, launch, and lifecycle management of Zoot’s products. This role ensures our products meet client needs and align with Zoot’s strategic goals by working cross-functionally with software, sales, marketing, and client implementation teams.

Position Overview

The Product Manager serves as a user advocate, ensuring Zoot’s products meet user needs by asking user-centered questions, suggesting usability and user experience improvements, and keeping user perspectives central to all discussions. This role collaborates closely with the Products team to envision, design, test, document, and train on products and enhancements. The Products group manages the entire product lifecycle—from vision and strategy through development, launch, and ongoing maintenance—ensuring alignment of teams and resources to deliver market success.

Zoot’s Products group is responsible for capabilities, configurable solutions, packaged product offerings, and business and usability feedback for core tools and services. The group identifies business needs to enhance offerings and improve implementation and support efficiency, aiming to make Zoot’s solutions the best in the industry.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Write requirements and facilitate requirement discussions to clearly define product features aligned with Zoot documentation standards, translating strategy into product efforts.
  2. Evaluate documentation and processes to improve content quality, precision, grammar, formatting, and comprehension.
  3. Maintain the Zoot product roadmap with stakeholder input.
  4. Collaborate closely with User Experience team members on UX strategy.
  5. Oversee the design, development, and testing of products.
  6. Work with software, architecture, product teams, and others to execute product strategy.
  7. Conduct research using user groups, competitor analysis, client engagements, marketing, and sales to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor landscape to inform product strategy.
  8. Partner with sales and marketing to plan and execute product launches, develop marketing materials, and define communication strategies that clearly articulate differentiators and business value.
  9. Play a key role in educating internal and external users on new products, features, and updates; provide input to training materials.
  10. Participate in the sales process to understand pain points, provide product expertise, perform demos, and gather feedback.
  11. Comply with Zoot’s Policies and Procedures, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Agreement.
  12. Promote a service-focused culture emphasizing delivery of high-quality products and services to internal and external clients.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned, supporting cross-departmental collaboration as needed.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements

This position requires a High School Diploma. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Finance, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move about inside an office environment, operate computers and office machinery, and frequently communicate with employees, clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Long periods of sitting at a computer workstation.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based work environment.
  • Workspace typically a cubicle in an open space environment.
  • Regular and consistent on-site presence at Zoot headquarters during normal business hours is expected.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
